Mr. Zaril Harza Zakaria

Mr. Zaril Harza Zakaria is assistant director in Clinical Research and Compliance Section, in National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau Ministry of Health, Malaysia. He is responsible in evaluating investigative products to be used in clinical trial in Malaysia before issuing Clinical Trial Import Licence and Permit for e xemption to manufacture for local manufacturers. He is also the appointed secretariat for the National Committee for Clinical Research, Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Mr. Zaril Harza Zakaria is a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia. He graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia Penang, Malaysia in 2002 and obtained a degree in Bachelor (Hons) of Pharmacy.

Mr. Zaril Harza Zakaria was one of the speaker for the past Regulatory Aspects of Clinical Trial in Malaysia for Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Courses workshop. Before this, he was the assistant director in New Chemical Entity Unit, Centre for Product Registration in the same National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau. His responsibility was to evaluate new chemical entity products which will be marketed in Malaysia. He also has experience in training area involving curriculum for Pre-Registration Pharmacist.

Mr. Zaril Harza Zakaria has attended a lot of courses and seminars. He have attended the Advanced Good Clinical Practice Course: Pharmacovigilance, which held in Singapore in 2006, Good Clinical Practice Workshop, which held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2005, and National Conference on Clinical Research and Training Course on Ethics of Clinical Research, which held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last year.
