Almarie Uys (B.Sc, M.MedSci, Ph.D)

Almarie graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. For many years, Almarie has done extensive cancer research obtaining a Masters degree in patients with colon cancer.

Almarie also has a special interest in infectious diseases, which started many years ago, with her Ph.D done in cancer patients with febrile neutropenia, while working in a private oncology practice in Johannesburg.

Almarie joined the TB Alliance in May 2007 and is currently contributing to address the major TB health crisis in the world.
