Professor Rosmawati Mohamed
Professor Rosmawati Mohamed is the Deputy Dean of Research in Faculty of Medicine, the director of the Clinical Investigation Centre, and Consultant Hepatologist in University of Malaya Medical Centre.
She sits in the council of the College of Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Malaysia and was awarded Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia in September 2007. Prof Rosmawati is also the co-Chairperson of the Technical Advisory Committee on Clinical Practice Guidelines, Ministry of Health, Malaysia. She was the Past President of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and the Chairperson of the National Clinical Practice Guidelines on Variceal bleeding.
Prof Rosmawati is one of the pioneer hepatologists in Malaysia and is recognized within the Asia-Pacific region as a leader in the field of hepatology. She’s a committee memberof theChronic Hepatitis B Guideline Working Party of the Asian-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Asia Pacific Working Party on Prevention of Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Asian-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) Live Data Share and Consensus Development on Acute on Chronic Liver Failure.
Professor Rosmawati has contributed significantly to the management and treatment of chronic viral hepatitis, and is a Principal Investigator for several multicentre studies investigating the clinical safety and efficacy of anti-hepatitis B virus therapies. She has also contributed to a better understanding of local and regional aspects of viral hepatitis among doctors.
